Across Arizona and the Nation, districts are striving to retain teachers by implementing high-intensity induction programs. Through a review of research on induction and mentoring, the Arizona K-12 Center identified 9 Common Elements of Induction programs. School districts are invited to the Arizona K-12 Center to present their programs to the AzTEC Induction Subcommittee. The subcommittee members evaluate each program using a rubric developed from the 9 Common Elements of high-intensity programs. Upon successful completion of the evaluation process, districts are featured on the Arizona K-12 Center's Teacher Induction website.
