Induction Follow-Up, including continued assistance into the second and third-year, and a readjustment of assistance based on the new teacher's needs.

  • First-year teachers’ needs are different from second-year teachers’ needs; therefore, it is important that induction programs assist first-year teachers into their second, and even their third year (Arends & Regazio-DiGilio, 2000).
  • New teachers receive continuous assistance (Yopp & Young, 1999).
