Why did you become a teacher?
I wanted to become a lawyer, but no one encouraged me, thank God! Teaching was always part of my life. My father was a minister and I taught Sunday School since I was old enough to read. It is my life's work.

What is one important piece of advice you can give other teachers?
Three things: You must care deeply about children. You must know your material well. You must be willing to learn every day!
